Abstract

These Regulations further amend the Aquaculture (Licence Application) Regulations 1998 in relation with procedures for aquaculture licensing. These procedures now comply with the UNECE Convention on Access to Information, Public Participation in Decision-making and Access to Justice in Environmental Matters. Any notice issued by the Licensing Authority, informing the public regarding a decision made in respect of an aquaculture licence application, must state that a person may raise the question of validity of a decision with the Aquaculture Licensing Appeals Board.
