The International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments, 2004 and the Convention on Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims 1976, as amended by the Protocol of 1996, the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Anti-Fouling Systems on Ships, 2001, and the Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage 2001 shall have the force of law in Antigua and Barbuda. Implementation concerns, among other things, port state measures (denial of entry into port, inspections) compliance duty and offences.
