Abstract Regulations prescribe the contents of notices served under section 161A of the Water Resources Act 1991 in the case of potential or actual pollution, the procedure to be followed in relation to appeals against such notices, including hearings, and the compensation for rights of entry in connection with anti-pollution works paid under section 161B of the Water Resources Act 1991. They also prescribe the particulars of such matters which are required to be placed on the pollution control registers maintained by the Environment Agency. Regulation 2 specifies the contents of a notice. The Schedule contains rules for the compensation for the grant of rights.
