It, among other things: requires notification of suspected disease; provides for precautions to be taken pending the completion of a veterinary inquiry; provides for carrying out of a veterinary inquiry as to the existence of the disease; and provides for declaration of an infected place, the power to prohibit or control movement of animals and the disposal of carcases.
