Abstract

In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection (1) of section 5 of the Animals Ordinance, 1953 [17 of 1953], this Order makes provision for the importation of animals and birds. Domestic fowls, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowls and pigeons to be used for slaughter may be imported from Singapore with the following documents: (i) An import licence from the State Director permitting the import of such birds into the Federation. (ii) A certificate from the Assistant Director, Primary Production (Veterinary), Singapore, certifying that the birds are bona fide Singapore birds. Section 3 provides for the prohibition of imports of carcases, meat meal, bones and bone meal, hides and skins, hoofs, horns, etc. except under written permission issued in accordance with the Animals Ordinance, 1953,
