Abstract

These Animal (Diseases and Importation Control) Regulations, 1961 provide rules with respect to a wide variety of matters including: definitions (including insertion of a definition of "Veterinary Authority"; landing of animals; requirements for entering a port of a ship transporting animals; prescribed certificates for the importation of animals; importation of cats, dog, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, carcasses, animal produts and by-products, fodder, litter; forms; and fees. "Veterinary Authority" means the governmental authority of a member of the World Organisation for Animal Health.
