Abstract

The following Sections are added to the original text: Section 3C provides for the transport permits to be issued by the local authorities in order to consent to the transportation of animals and whose validity covers a period of three months. Section 5A provides for appointed places where animals shall be branded. Section 6 provides for the description of the branding mark to be submitted to the local authorities. Section 19A provides for selling by public auction of the cattle that has not been claimed back by the owner in a period of thirty days since being detained. Section 24A provides for the expenses incurred by the authorities in the keeping of detained cattle or fines for damaging or trespassing land as payable by the legitimate cattle owner. Section 37B rules that every Government Veterinary Surgeon shall act, under the present provision, as a peace officer for all legal matters related to this very Act.
