In particular, it is applicable to establishments with more than 350 laying hens. Article 3 lists the minimum requirements for such animal keeping places. Moreover, the animals must have enough space in order to move freely; the premises have to be kept in perfect hygienic conditions; noise has to be kept at low level and there must be enough light.
