Abstract

Amendments of the principal act concern Risk Management Programmes, the application of the Act to exclusive economic zone, Multi-business Risk Management Programmes, registration of programmes and exporters, notification of the Director-General of general requirements for animal product or material for export, allowing of home kill and the processing of recreational catch. The main object of this Part is to facilitate the tracing of any animal material or product intended for human or animal consumption that is derived from animals from game estates (defined), thus helping to ensure proper treatment of the animal material or product.
