Abstract

The purpose of the present Act is to prevent and control animal diseases, as well as to conserve and promote the health of livestock and fish produced in agriculture. The text consists of 10 Parts divided into 45 articles as follows: General provisions (1); Measures to prevent and control animal disease (2); Special protective measures (3); Immunological veterinary drugs, in vitro diagnosis (4); Intra-Community movement, import, export, transit (5); Compensation for loss of animals (6); Data collection (7); Survey, competent authorities (8); Penalties and fine (9); Other competences, final provisions (10).
