The purpose of this Act is to ensure the quality, safety and traceability of feed and to ensure expert information on diets to safeguard animal health and quality of food of animal origin. The Act implements Community legislation on, among other things, prevention of infectious diseases affecting animals, quality of feed, traceability, quality and hygiene of food of animal origin and GMO's in animal feed. The Act, among other things, provides for quality control of animal feed.
