Abstract

These Rules regulate the keeping of pigs and other matters for purposes of controlling diseases affecting pigs. Pig holders shall be licensed by the Director of Veterinary Services. One of the conditions of for a licence shall be that the premises of the licensee are fit to keep pigs. A licensed pig producer whose premises are not fit for the keeping of pigs, or whose pigs are not kept in accordance with these Rules, shall be served with a warning that the licence may be withdrawn. If the holder of a licence does not follow the instructions included in the warning, the Director Veterinary Services may revoke the licence.
