Abstract

Hunting Law shall be supplemented with Article 17.1 in the following wording: "Article 17. 1. (1) Agreements on the transfer of hunting rights in force in the territories of military landfills, concluded with the joint stock company "Latvijas valsts meži", until the expropriation of the relevant real estate or their parts or the change of the owner of the state land from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Ministry of Defense, based on the agreement of the parties, may be renewed or supplemented by provisions necessary to meet the needs of the National Armed Forces. Until the expropriation of the relevant real estate or their parts, the Ministry of Defense can make a decision to include special provisions necessary to ensure the needs of the National Armed Forces in the agreements on the transfer of hunting rights valid in the territories of the military ranges. Such a decision is a general administrative act, and it is published in the official publication "Latvijas Vēstnesis". At the end of the term of the agreements referred to in the first part of this Article, they can be extended for a term not longer than 10 years, without conducting an auction of hunting rights."
