Abstract

The present Act lays down provisions relating to the control of alcoholic beverages. In particular, section 5 of the Act establishes the National Alcoholic Beverage Policy Committee. The Committee shall have the powers and duties to: a) lay down and submit policy, work plan and measure for controlling alcoholic beverages through taxation and other controlling measures; b) carry out any duty as prescribed by this Act. The text consists of 45 sections divided into 7 chapters as follows: National Alcoholic Beverage Policy Committee (I); Alcoholic Beverage Control Committee (II); Office of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Committee (III); Alcoholic Beverage Control (IV); Treatment of rehabilitation of an alcoholic (V); Competent official (VI); Penalties (VII).
