The chief executive may make standards on all matters related to agriculture, including labelling, the marking of stocks and the selling or using of hormonal growth promotants. The chief executive may establish an advisory committee on agricultural standards. Part 3 deals with offences for the violations of agricultural standards. Part 4 deals with the enforcement of the Act, and for this purpose, inspectors may be appointed. The powers and duties of inspectors are spelled out in details in this Part. Under Part 5, a person whose interests are adversely affected by a decision of the chief executive under this Act or by an inspector’s decision, may apply for a review of the decision. Part 6 deals with appeals to the Magistrates Court in case a person is dissatisfied with a decision of the chief executive or an inspector. Part 7 contains provisions on legal proceedings related to the Act.
