Abstract

These Rules provide for the control of the exportation of chillies and the inspection and grading of chillies intended for exportation. "Chillies" means the fruits of Capsicum minimum and shall, unless the context otherwise requires, include capsicums. Chillies and capsicums shall each be divided into grades described in the Schedule and their packing shall indicate the appropriate grade mark. Only chillies with a valid export certificate issued under these Rules shall be exported. The Rules lay down procedures for the inspection of chillies and prescribe standards for packing.
