Abstract The amendments of the principal Act concern varied matters such as conditions for the construction of waterworks, use of water power, water channels, timber floating, drainage, water level regulation and regulation of water, water pollution, procedures before the Water Court, and various miscellaneous matters. Section 1 of Chapter 2 prescribes the waterworks to which the provisions of Chapter 2 apply. Section 9 of Chapter 3 concerns the use of water power from watercourses in common property in accordance with Act 758 of 1989 relative to common property. The sections of Chapter 4 which are amended (sects. 5, 6 and 9) provide for the use of (private) watercourses for navigation and other public purposes. Amended provisions of Chapter 6 (sects. 6 and 11) concern permits for drainage which shall be applied for with the Water Court. Section 10(a) of Chapter 8 concerns conditions of permits for the regulation of water also from a perspective of environment protection.
