Abstract

This Regulation provides a framework for the drafting, negotiation and execution of Forest products Utilization Agreements between the Government and prospective forest users. Section 16 provides for representation of the Government in negotiation. Other provisions of this Act concern matters related to forest use agreements such as a performance bond and minimum expenditure to be guaranteed by the forest concessionaire, protection of Liberian permit holders, a land rental fee, duty free importation, requirements prescribed by the FDA regarding wool processing, and the employment of Liberian foresters.
