Abstract The amendments of the principal Act effected by the present Act concern exclusively floating of timber. The person wishing to float timber shall appoint in each of the municipalities of the floating area a representative. The representative shall be available when the timber is floated and his or her name and address shall be communicated to the local Environment Office and the Water and Environment District Office. All timber shall be marked with the personal mark of the owner (sect. 93). Section 97 provides that the owner or tenant of shore areas of rivers on which timber remains for a certain period stuck, may take charge of such timber. They shall also report to the local police.
