The Act defines tasks of the competent authorities for purposes of the Regulation, defines port security measures and provides for inspections. Anybody performing inspections on board a ship or in a port security area has the right to remove a dangerous object or a hazardous substance found in the course of the inspection or in some other connection the possession of which is prohibited under other provisions laid down in law.
