Articls 3 and 5 shall enter into force on 1 January 2012. Abstract This Act aims to promote the use of sustainable biofuels for land transportation (gasoline/diesel), in order to adhere to Denmark's international climate obligations. The Act applies to commercial energy-suppliers and sets out requirements for them to meet sustainability obligations of biofuel supply originating from waste, residues, and cellulosic material not intended for food. Every commercial companies have the duty to ensure that biofuels accounts for at least 5.75% of its total annual sales of fuels for ground transportation.
