The consolidated version of the Act entered into force on 1 July 2013.
Abstract

This Law establishes the Hungarian Veterinary Chamber which is a self-governing corporate body of veterinarians. It carries out public affairs and represents the interests of the profession. The Chamber has county-level and national branches. The Law regulates the operation of the Chamber, its duties, membership, the ethical liability of veterinarians, the supervision of legality, and management. The Law also regulates, in detail, the private practice of veterinarians.
