Abstract

This Act shall apply to farmers and enterprises having residence, office or other premises in Hungary, and to the Hungarian Agricultural, Food and Rural Development Chamber. The Act consists of 11 chapters. Chapters II, III, IV provide general rules regarding the Chamber, rules regarding its membership and its duties. Chapter V contains provisions concerning the self-government of the Chamber, while Chapter VI sets out the rules of election. Chapter VII provides for the operation of the Chamber and Chapter VIII concerns its financial resources. According to Chapter IX public control on the Chamber is exercised by the Prosecution Service, while against the decisions of the Chamber one may file a suit at the Court. Chapter X contains transitory provisions and Chapter XI contains miscellaneous and final provisions.
