Entry into force notes
This Act enters into force immediately.
Abstract

The objective of the present Act is to prevent trade in timber originating from illegal logging and the marketing of timber and timber products from such activities in Iceland. The Act contains 22 articles organized in the following chapters: I. Objectives, scope and definitions; II. Division of governmental tasks; III. System of due diligence and monitoring institutions; IV. General duties; V. Coercive measures etc.; VI. Penalties; VII. Regulation, implementation, and entry into force.
