The Act enters into force on 1 July 1996.
Abstract

The Act, which is composed of 38 articles and three Annexes, sets out technical and biological requirements for seeding material and lays down conditions concerning their marketing as well as the use of properties of certain plant varieties. Annex 1 lays down the list of plants as per groups of seed materials. Annex 2 lays down the list of registered types of plants. Annex 3 delimits regions for the purpose of defining potato seedlings.
