Abstract

This Act amends the Environment Protection Act in relation with the management of waste disposal sites. Operators of sites are required to submit a waste disposal aftercare plan to the provincial authorities. The Act also concerns the conditions for the granting of a licence for the operation of a waste disposal site that may have transboundary effects, the notification by operators of events that may have a negative effect on the waste disposal site or the environment and preventive and rehabilitation measures in relation with such negative effects.
