The amendments concern the protection of biological resources and of fishing activities, the penalties for minor and serious offences and additional penalties. Article 4 abrogates paragraph (d) of article 14 concerning restrictions and conditions for granting licenses for disposing of waste matter in the sea to be established by implementing regulations. Article 27 establishes the following penalties in case of violation of the provisions of article 15: 1) confiscation of the catch; 2) confiscation of any fishing gear, equipment or apparatus used in violation of the rules laid down in this law; 3) obligation to put areas where unauthorized works or plants have been constructed back into their former condition within a specified time limit.
