Abstract This Act, which is composed of 23 articles and one Annex, establishes: (a) rules of organic farming; (b) competence of state organs in the area of organic farming; (c) rights and obligations of persons carrying out organic farming; (d) performance of the initial verification of the preconditions for organic farming; (e) keeping a register of organic farming operators and a register of inspection organizations; (f) details on the performance of organic farming control; (g) the duties and obligations of inspection organizations; (h) labeling of products of organic farming; (i) infringements and other administrative offenses in the area of organic farming. The state administration bodies in the area of organic farming are: Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and The Central Control and Testing Institute in Agriculture. Products of organic farming are marked with graphical sign of organic farming specified in the Annex.
