Abstract

Article 1 defines “activities harmful to the environment”. The Nordic Environment Protection Convention shall not extend to those activities that are covered by bilateral agreements between the Contracting States. Other provisions of this Act concern approval of activities that may have consequences in the other Contracting States, procedures and other matters regarding the granting of authorizations and authorizing authorities, and entry into force of the Convention. The Convention shall also apply to activities by the Contracting States on the respective Continental Shelves.
