This Act entered into force on 1 August 2019.
Abstract

The purpose of this Act is to establish rules for the prevention, mitigation and minimization of adverse effects of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species on biodiversity and related ecosystem services, as well as on human health, safety and the economy. The present Act regulates for the area of prevention and managemen, introduction and spread of invasive alien species of animals, plants, fungi and microorganisms: (a) restrictions on the handling of invasive alien species; (b) obligations and authorizations of persons; (c) measures to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive alien species; (d) an information system on the occurrence and spread of invasive alien species; (e) the competence of state administration bodies, state organizations and municipalities; (f) liability for the breach of duty.
