Abstract The amendments to the principal Act are made to implement a comprehensive list of legislation of the European Communities. The amendments concern: general provisions (Chap. 1); timber floating (Chap. 5); drainage (Chap. 6); regulation of the water level (Chap. 7); use of water in liquid form and the abstraction of groundwater (Chap. 9); and water pollution (Chap. 10). Amendments of Chapters 1 and 10 concern the applicability of Community directives regarding the environment to the outflow of waste water for which a permission of the Water Court is required.
