Section 10 concerns fishing rights in Northern Lappland. Residents of specified municipalities have the right to obtain free of charge a permit from the Metsähallitus (state forest company) to fish in water areas which belong to the state and are located in those municipalities. The permit is personal and is granted for a maximum of three years. The permit conditions are set by the Metsähallitus for the seasonal permits and concern fishing quotas per fisherman, reporting obligation in respect of catches and others general and other permit area-specific fishing restrictions, which are set in the seasonal permit. Some permits are issued by the National Forestry Agency. Section 119 concerns forfeiture of fishing gear.
