Abstract The Act lays down the new definition of environment, which is considered as the totality of nature elements, including elements processed as a result of human activities, particularly land, dug resources, water, air, landscape, climate and other elements of biological variety, as well as interaction of these elements. The Act establishes new obligations of entrepreneurs concerning environment protection. It also sets forth new obligations of the Minister of the Environment concerning notification to the European Commission on serious breakdowns and their results.
