Abstract

The Act, which is composed of 11 articles, establishes that fodder additives may be introduced into turnover, processed or used for animal feeding, as long as they comply with the requirements specified in Regulation (EC) No. 1831/2003 concerning additives for use in animal nutrition. Substances that are not allowed to turnover and processing, however, may be used for scientific research upon notification to the competent regional veterinarian. Further provisions concern the conditions under which animal feedingstuffs may be imported from third countries.
