This Act enters into force on 1 July 2008.
Abstract

This Act amends 16 points of the Act on the protection of plant variety rights. In particular, the Act establishes the index of plant varieties. In respect of plants specified in this Annex, persons operating in agricultural production are entitled to exploit, for the purpose of propagation, without holding a license issued by the holder, to ensure production in their own business on arable land owned, leased or subleased by them, harvested material acquired on such land through the cultivation of propagating material of a protected variety, except for a hybrid or synthetic variety.
