Abstract This Act lays down some amendments and addenda to Act on the protection of nature and landscapes. In particular the present Act establishes provisions on protecting the natural species composition of ecosystems including control of the dissemination of non-native species, monitoring of population sizes and the way the spread of non-native species, and removal of invasive species (replaced art. 7 and supplemented art. 7a and art. 7b). Further the Act provides details on generally protected area which can be declared due cultural, scientific, ecological, aesthetic or landscape significance (supplemented art. 25a), and specifies procedure for announcement of the protection of specially protected parts of nature and landscape (replaced art. 50).
