Abstract This Act lays down some amendments and addenda to the Act on the protection of animals against cruelty. In particular, the present Act lays down provisions concerning professional competence relating to protection of animals at slaughter (art. 5a), conditions of killing of fur animals and rodents (supplemented art. 5c), requirements for the layout, construction and equipment of slaughterhouses (art. 5e), requirements for slaughtering animals for religious purposes (art. 5f), details on stunning animals (art. 5g), conditions of killing rabbits, hares and poultry (art. 5h) and procedures of killing fish (art. 5i).
