Abstract The Act defines the application scope of the Act on chemical substances and preparations by excluding fertilizers (as defined in the Fertilizers and Fertilizing Act) and medical invasive products or medical products intended to come into contact with human body. The Act establishes that a person placing on the market hazardous substances is obliged to keep and update the list of owned substances hazardous substances or hazardous preparations. The Act lays down new provisions concerning marking and packaging of hazardous substances and hazardous preparations.
