Abstract The Act, which is composed of four articles and three Annexes, amends conditions which have to be fulfilled to recognize seed material as reproductive material of vegetable plants, seed material of qualified category, and seed material of standard category. The Act establishes also procedure of marketing seed material, intended for testing and field experimenting, of agricultural plants, vegetable plants. In such cases the director of the Research Centre for Cultivar Testing has to agree for marketing. The Annexes specify: the list of cultivated plants varieties which should be registered in the national register and seed material of which can be produced and evaluated (Annex 1); the list of cultivated plants varieties, seeding material of which is a subject of trade (Annex 2); the list of cultivated plants which should be registered after their evaluation (Annex 3).
