Abstract This Act extends the application scope of the Atomic Law, which also defines principles for fulfilling international obligations concerning nuclear safety, protection against ionizing radiation, nuclear material safeguards and control of nuclear technologies. The Atomic Law also establishes financial penalties for the violation of nuclear safety and radiological protection regulations. The Atomic Law also applies to the practices conducted in conditions of exposure to natural ionizing radiation enhanced by human activity.
