Abstract This Act, which is composed of five articles, establishes provisions concerning protection of animals during transport and related operations within the European Community. It also describes tasks and rights of veterinary officers who represent appropriate authorities for the matters specified in the Council Regulation No. 1/2005: checks, issuing decisions relating to permissions specified in art. 10 and 11 of the Regulation No. 1/2005, licenses described in art. 17 of the Regulation No. 1/2005, certificates of confirmation defined in art. 18 and 19 of the Regulation No. 1/2005.
