Abstract

The purposes of this Resolution are to declare the 17 April Dam Lake a protected area, to define its boundaries and to prevent pollution. The Resolution is composed of 7 articles. Article 1 delineates the boundaries of the Lake and specifies the Departments that maintain the topographic maps. Articles 2-5 specify the activities prohibited in the area which shall include: (a) advanced treatment of domestic waste water; (b) random use of pesticides and fertilizers; (c) use of sewage water for irrigation; (d) creation of dumps for waste, of stone quarries and stations for fuel and oil; (e) construction of roads; (f) collection of waste; and (g) discharge of oil, combustibles and radioactive materials. Articles 6 and 7 contain general provisions.
