Convention sur la pêche et la conservation des ressources vivantes dans la mer Baltique et les Belts Type du document Multilatéral Champ d'application Régional/restreint Date Sep 13, 1973 Source IUCN (ID: TRE-000535) Titre (Anglais) Convention on Fishing and Conservation of the Living Resources in the Baltic Sea and the Belts Titre (Autre) Konvention über die Fischerei und den Schutz der lebenden Ressourcen in der Ostsee und den Belten Lieu d'adoption Gdansk Dépositaire Pologne Langue Danois, Anglais, Finnois, Allemand, Polonais, Russe, Suédois Entrée en vigueur Jul 28, 1974 Sujet Pêche Bassin Baltic Sea Résumé Objective: To achieve greater and closer cooperation between the Parties in order to maintain the maximum stable productivity of the living resources of the region. Summary or provisions: Parties undertake to cooperate to achieve optimum yield from the living resources, particularly in the field of research, including programmes for the artificial reproduction of valuable fish species (art. 1). Institutional mechanism: An International Baltic Sea Fishery Commission is established (art. 5). It is to keep under review the living resources and fisheries of the region by collecting, analysing and disseminating data, to draft proposals to co-ordinate scientific research, and to submit recommendations to the Parties based on scientific research (art. 9). Such recommendations are to concern regulation of fishing gear, size limits of fish, closed seasons or areas, improving and increasing marine resources, total allowable catch and any other measure related to the conservation of these resources (art. 10). (Source: IUCN ELC, 08.2005, based on UNEP Register of International Treaties and Other Agreements in the Field of the Environment, 1996) Commentaire This Convention applies only to the Baltic Sea and the Belts, but it covers all fish species encountered there, some of which are migratory. The Convention obliges the Baltic States to cooperate closely with one another with a view to preserving and increasing living resources so as to obtain an optimum yield. The States are also required to prepare and implement projects for the achievement of conservation and growth of living resources (including the artificial breeding of 'valuable' fish species). The Convention establishes the International Baltic Sea Fishery Commission. The Commissions duties include the review of fisheries and living resources by means of the collection, analysis and dissemination of ' statistical data', e.g. catch data, fishing efforts and other information which States Parties must provide to it; the proposal of programmes of scientific research and their coordination; and the production of recommendations as to the measures to be taken as to, e.g. fishing gear, limits on the size of fish to be taken, open and closed seasons, closed areas for fishing, improving or increasing living resources, and 'any other matter related to the conservation and rational exploitation of living marine resources' Texte intégral Anglais Français Espagnol Site web www.jus.uio.no Pays/Territoire/Participant Vue étendue Montrer la carte Des pays Entrée en vigueur Ratification * Signature simple Retrait Allemagne Oct 9, 1977 Mar 20, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Mar 18, 1984 Danemark Jul 28, 1974 Mai 6, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Mar 18, 1984 Estonie Aoû 23, 1992 Jul 24, 1992 [1] - Déc 31, 2005 Finlande Jul 28, 1974 Jul 1, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Déc 31, 1996 Fédération de Russie Jan 13, 1992 - - - Lettonie Aoû 22, 1992 Jul 23, 1992 [1] - Déc 31, 2005 Lituanie Aoû 8, 1992 Jul 9, 1992 [1] - Déc 31, 2005 Pologne Jul 28, 1974 Oct 25, 1973 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Déc 31, 2006 Suède Jul 28, 1974 Avr 29, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Déc 31, 1996 Union européenne Mar 18, 1984 Fév 17, 1984 [1] - Déc 31, 2005 * [1] Ratification [2] Adhesion [3] Acceptation/approbation [4] Succession [5] Consentement à être lié [6] Définitive signature reset zoom out zoom in Références - Traités Amendé par Amendements à la Convention sur la pêche et la conservation des ressources vivantes dans la mer Baltique et les Belts Traité | Multilatéral | Warsaw | Nov 11, 1982 Mot clé: Volume admissible de captures, Zone de pêche interdite, Collecte de données/déclarations, Engins de pêche/méthodes de pêche, Zone marine, Taille, Gestion et conservation des pêches, Utilisation durable, Périodes, Institution Source: IUCN (ID: TRE-000767) D'autres références Littérature 1 document liés à ce traité Voir la littérature Jurisprudence 1 jurisprudence liés à ce traité Voir la jurisprudence
