Résumé An act to strengthen, coordinate, target and up-to-date weather service activities for timely accurate weather and climate forecasting, weather-related disasters, mitigation and mitigation of weather-related disasters, protection of public life and resources, reasonable use of climate resources. For the purposes of this Act, the duties and functions of the Department shall be as follows: the functions relating to the Weather Service- (a) improve and ensure the quality of the weather service, including conducting basic and practical research work on weather and climate; (b) take continuous monitoring of atmospheric, geothermal and hydrogeographic weather events and seismic and geomagnetic in a scientific manner, etc. The Department shall provide a variety of climatic and climate change related services. The Department shall provide necessary advice to the Government in the manner prescribed by the rules, to study the effects and consequences of climate change, to make climate forecasts and to assess the adverse effects of climate change.
