The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2012.
Résumé

The provisions of the present Ordinance apply to navigation on the Danube, including the Vienna Danube Canal, as well as to the rivers March, Enns and Traun with all its affluents, canals, ports and infrastructures except for the waters listed in Annex 2. The text consists of 60 articles divided into 3 Parts as follows: Sphere of application (1); Basic regulations for the navigation on the Danube (2); Additional regulations for navigation on Austrian waterways (3); Local and temporarl limitation on the Danube and other waterways (4); Regulations for navigation in boarder areas (5); Harbour regulations (6); Locked passages (7); Penalties and final provisions (8).
