Résumé The present Law lays down provisions relating to the use of waters and water works. It is applicable to all groundwaters and surface waters. Waters and their banks are to be protected as important living space for animals and plants. The text deals with the following matters: public waters, public interest, access to water banks, classification of waters, marking, unlicensed use of waters, etc. The Law consists of 40 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Use of waters in general (II); Use of waters in particular (III); Fisheries (IV); Waterworks (V); Administrative proceedings (VI); Implementation and penalties (VII); Final and transitional provisions (VIII).
