Résumé This Act makes provision with respect to the proper use, protection and restoration of water resources of Mongolia. Chapter I contains general provisions. Articles 3 to 7 provide for the monitoring and inventory of water resources (the "Water Reserve Resource") in Mongolia, and the determination of potential maximum quantity of water that may be taken from nature for a specific period without affecting the natural water balance ("potential use"). Water resources and potential use shall be determined by hydrological exploration by a "certified organization" (art. 4). A Water Monitoring Network and a Water Databank shall be set up in accordance with articles 5 and 6. Remaining articles of Chapter I contain principles of water use and set out powers of central and local authorities to protect water resources. Texte intégral Anglais
