There is a regional board for each of the regions. The Chapter defines duties and powers of such boards and requires each regional board to formulate and adopt water quality control plans for all areas within the region. Each regional board shall also establish such water quality objectives in water quality control plans as in its judgment will ensure the reasonable protection of beneficial uses and the prevention of nuisance. The Chapter also concerns wastewater discharge and effluent limitations, sewage and groundwater treatment systems, requirements for injection wells, consequences for water from solid waste discharge, impacts of Cannabis cultivation on water quality, civil liability and offences.
