The rules concern mainly hygienic conditions for the sale of meat to the public, the keeping of livestock and the slaughtering of animals. Only fresh meat of cattle, swine, goat or sheep that has been slaughtered at the village Slaughter House of the village in accordance with its rules and regulations shall be offered for sale at the market. The meat shall be inspected by the Clerk of the Market and Slaughter House. The Regulations also prohibit the exposure for sale of unwholesome food. Animals, except game but including turtles, shall be slaughtered only at the Slaughter House. Slaughtering requires a butcher licence, to be granted under these Regulations. The Village Council shall keep a register of licensed butchers. Other provisions of these Regulation concern cleanliness of the Market and the Slaughter House.
