Résumé

Live fish, frozen and deep-frozen fish, aquaculture and thermally treated aquatic products destined for human consumption are admitted to the territory of the Russian Federation on condition that they have been processed at the factories authorized for export delivery of goods by the central state veterinary institution of the exporting country that exercises permanent supervision over their activity. Fish and aquaculture must come from factories (including floating fish-factories) situated within administrative territories free from African pig-plague for the past 3 years and foot-and-mouth disease for the past 12 months. Marketable sea and freshwater fish as well as aquaculture must pass tests for the exposure of helminths, bacteriological and virological infections in accordance with the methodology adopted by the exporting country. In case of the presence of helminths fish must be rendered harmless by the existing methods. Fish and aquaculture selected for export are admitted to the territory of the Russian Federation on condition that they have not been fed by feedstuffs with the use of genetically modified additives or other genetically modified sources. In the process of carrying out veterinary and sanitary expertise sea and freshwater fish, aquaculture and aquaculture products must be certified suitable for human consumption and must not contain either natural or synthetical anabolics, hormonal substances, tyrostatic drugs, antibiotics and other medicinal substances. Microbiological, chemical and toxicological as well as radiological indices of fish and aquaculture must comply with veterinary and sanitary requirements and regulations currently in force in the Russian Federation. Package and packing material must be disposable and comply with sanitary requirements. The compliance with these Veterinary and sanitary requirements must be certified by veterinary certificate, signed by the state veterinary inspector of the exporting country and composed in the language of the country of origin and in Russian. Dispatch of fish and aquaculture not treated thermally to the Russian Federation is possible only after the authorization issued to the importer by Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
